I like the hint of an S-curve and the smoke plumes certainly add interest. I wonder if it might have been even more dynamic if you'd placed the horizon line higher or lower so that the image isn't divided in half.

very nice, was that a post production lightiing shade added to the shot?

A bit more dof would have helped.

This one has grown on me after multiple viewings. I feel I'd like to see more of the road, just for it to be further in to the frame, but of course, I don't know what lies to it's right. If it's more of the same I think it would work. I love the shapes of the steam or smoke emissions and the darkened sky.

Very nice shot. Is this in Iraq? Good choice for B/W

desolation coming...original response and I like the almost watercolor feel of the road

for me, i wish the road would have been included in the bottom right hand corner, not cut off by the framing

Great shot, the gradient sky looks great, the leading lines in the road do a lot. The question this shot poses puts a little extra in it. Great job. My top pick for the challenge!

I like this shot a lot. It is certainly desolate. Strange the way the sky fades to black towards the top of the pic.
