Okay, here we go again, LOL

My girls

Took a picture of Ellie against a solid green backing, printed it out on a 4x6 print, cut it out. Stuck her in Melissa's pocket with some paper towels to give the pocket a little bit of form. Stood Melissa next to the white wall and shot away.

Steps taken:

Separated Melissa from the wall with the magic wand and the magic lasso

Adjusted the curves on the wall until it was completely white, with the exception of some shadows. Cloned those out.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Cool idea, and a nicely lit and exposed capture. There are two things that strike me as needing some attention in this shot. First, as mentioned by hideout, the pink hair ribbons really wash her face out, thus distracting from her expression. This is a biggie to watch out for when doing portrait-type work. Secondly, those chopped off elbows leave me looking to the edge of the frame, instead of at the subjects in the shot. Chopping off limbs, especially at major joints, hurts composition. It also looks like she was cutout, I think because of the dodging around her hair. Excellent choice of expression and wonderful clothing for this shot. It meets the challenge well, and, with some minor adjustments, this one would have scored a great deal better I believe.

Cute shot, Deannda! It's wonderful how much of a family activity photography is for all of your family; that's probably my favorite thing about your work. It just warms my heart. Technically, you also did a good job here. The only thing I can see that might have got a better reaction is if Melissa's shirt were a solid color that matched or complimented either her hair ribbon or Ellie's shirt. I wish I had a pure white wall like that!

I see this as a very well done ad for a kid comedy... along the lines of 'Honey I shrunk the Kids'. Great lighting and focus, and the dimensions are true for a poster... :)

Nicely done Deandre! The shot of Elle is a bit blown out though...

Wow, I really like the idea, love the dark striped clothing (next time leave out the contrasting hair accessories because it distracts from her fun facial expression), I'd love to see her pigtails. Good job creating the pixie, she has a 3-D quality.

did you really have to point at her with both fingers? the lack of subtletly suggests this is a Disney film. Good visual impact, creative premise.

Well done. I think this would fit well on a poster for a comedy.

well, what to say ... the white bacground does not fit very well here ... the title and idea are good
