Oldest daughter Mary 'smelling' some artificial flowers. Backdrop is home made (RIT dye -brown, scarlet, black - sprayed onto white fabric). Lighting is natural light from the window (just past the flowers) augmented with overhead incandescant light (ceiling fan).

This is straight from the camera, cropped and rotated only.

I would love this with a sepia or old timey looking frame. Nice perspective but with so many diff. colors, I think it might be neutralized and we could concentrate on her if there were more of a duotone effect. The lighting seems a tad harsh on her face and the dress, but that might be fixed in post production. Sweet idea. I like the overall concept of it.

The flowers are on the high side for the young lady. I would have preferred her to be holding a single stem. She seems not so totally relaxed and the pervasive red also enforces that feeling. The props take on more significance than the subject, in this photo.

I like the colors and pose here. The backdrop works well. For me the flowers compete with the true subject. Perhaps a smaller grouping of flowers would convey the same feeling and yet not compete to be the subject. My 2c
