"NAIADS: The Stream and River NYMPHS.

These lovely ladies are the sparkly HYDRIADS of running waters, babbling brooks, silvery streams and rippling rivers.

Being spirits of individual streams, they tend to be loyal to their locality, and often seem to end up marrying or otherwise dallying with the local king or hero. They are also on hand to rescue maidens in distress; some of them used to be maidens in distress themselves.

They take a very dim view of water pollution. Take your rubbish home with you or face the consequences!"

Perfect choice for shutter speed. I really like you you can see individual 'threads' of the water without them all being blurred together. Nice PP work, as well

"some dodge, some burn." "Some talent" i say. Nice picture with a great range of colors. Perfect exposure lenghth for just the right amount of water blur. I also like the heavy vignetting.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Very nice exposure we have here :)
You have the colors, sharpnes and shutter speed juuust right, much longer or shorter would only have been worse.

But What I don't get here is how the corners could get so dark. Well they kinda put the focus on the waterfall but it would have been nice to make the WHOLE picture with all 4 corners in on it aswell :)

I think waterfalls allways score good on DPC and I believe you have a good waterfall picture going on here, congratulations on your score and I hope I helped a litle with my critique

Have a great day!

Lovely place. Did you take a dip in it? How could you not? (unless it was cold).

Not a bad placement either. Congrats on the high finish.

A wee overdone with burning, but great lines with water - not too blurred.

Lovely waterfall, I may have cropped this thigher so that the slow shutter speed didn't blur so much of the foreground.

I am not normally a big fan of soft water shots (even though I post them myself more than I should(, but this is a pleasing capture. Well composed and noce, crisp focus. There is a bit too much vingetting, perhaps from the lens ot perhpas from camera RAW, that darkens the edges too much. A different crop could easily fix this.

Wow was the first thing that came to my mind , after examining the photo I would have prefer it with the bottom cropped to give more importance to the water falling , really nice with the rusted colors and greens.

Beautiful waterfall. You might consider a much smaller crop to eliminates the out of focus foreground water.
