 This is one of the raccoons that comes to our house every night and she's a new mom, which is why she's out during the daylight. We used to rehabilitate orphaned raccoons, and though we stopped 25 years ago they have been coming to our house for treats and to show off their kids ever since.

Raccoons are such sweeties. We had a couple as pets when I was growing up. Got them when they were only a few days old...but they can be really mean if you mess with them. This is a great photo of one, it shows their tender vulnerable side. They have cute characteristics.
