I love clouds, when this challenge first came up I wanted to try this. It took me so many shots of clouds and I couldnt come up with one I liked. Finally on one of my mountain shots I noticed these clouds. I had to crop it alot to focus on just them, the reason for the rather longish pic, not my usual type. And I actually rotated it 180 deg, i thought it made it look like the ocean. Anyway, loved the way it turned out.

a run through neat image, auto adjusted levels, used curves to negatize it, contrast some usm another auto levels, which I wasnt sure I liked but went with anyway. Desaurated the whole pic then resaturated the blue only for the whole pic. And thats it :)

I'm starting to believe that there were so many pictures to vote on in this challenge, that some of the really creative shots, like yours, didn't score as high as they should have. I believe this might have been because the voters couldn't study them long enough. (After all, over 400 entries!)

During voting, I inverted and then rotated your image - I wanted to see the original because it caught my eye, and that is when I discovered the brilliance of your entry.

My entry scored higher than I expected, and didn't put nearly as much effort into it as yours. Mine was more of a "creative snapshot".

Well done and appreciated!

Cheers,
ralfw

I think it's beautiful and surreal. I gave this a 7.

This is interesting and works well as an abstract almost.

I cannot tell what this is. However, it is still appealing. Would have been more points if I had a better idea of the subject, but as an abstract, you still get a 7

what is that? and is it really inverted?

Boy this one is tough, I can't even tell what it is. It looks like a cloudy forest, but if it is, I don't think it's a negative.

This is a really cool picture, IMHO, but it doesn't look like a negative to me. It just looks black and white. I think that's going to hurt you in the voting.

Awesome picture! I really like what you did! Was this a stormy sky rotated 180 degrees? Whatever, a definite 10!
