Challenge: Negative Image (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Location: Oregon
Date: Apr 24, 2006
Aperture: 5.0
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/60

Date Uploaded: Apr 24, 2006

Converted to negative, Sharpen, Hue/Sat to boost colors slightly, Close Crop, Brightness/Contrast both, added small black border.
I kept trying different things for a negative and then the idea came to mind to try something from the fish tank. We actually got this little guy from a river this last summer and he has grown and thrived in our fish tank(No fishies missing though to this day). He is actually Blue and Purple which is pretty amazing for what we call a craw dad. I believe most all are red but he seems to have adapted to his surroundings very well. Hope you all like it.

I wish people could have seen the original in comparision before the conversion. The guy is actually blue! maybe people did not think it was much of a conversion because they are typically red? For the picture he is sitting in a martini glass looking up at me :)

I can't believe this placed so low. I really thought it deserved a much higher placement.

Thanks :) I was hoping it can do better, guess it just didn't appeal to EVERYbody. I appreciate the comments though.

I also gave it a 9. It might just be my favorite of the challenge.

I can't believe this score. I gave it a 9 and had it pegged for top-20 easily... And I still love it, it's so MALEVOLENT.

I wouldnt have guessed it'd been inverted, very creepy. I just wish it was a tad brighter, but other than that its excellent! Title is so fitting as the eyes are what draws me in - 8
