Challenge: Window Framed (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D
Lens: Konica Minolta AF 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6(D) DT
Location: My Apartment
Date: Apr 23, 2006
Aperture: F3.5
ISO: 800
Shutter: 0.6
Date Uploaded: Apr 23, 2006

Snapped through my sliding glass window of my apartment. I originally was just going to go for the stairs, which probably would have scored higher, but it didn't have the "out of a window" effect I was looking for. Was I very lazy in taking this? Yeah...but I want to try to have an entry in every challenge, regardless of how well I think I'll do.

In the sea of the other images submitted to the challenge, this one did not look outstanding. But viewed alone after the challenge, I would say it is a very good image. It grows on you.

Nice colors. The busy lines make it hard for a subject to emerged to be framed.

Sorry but this doesn´t really do much for me, doesn´t seem like you put a lot of thought or energy into this one, looks like a snapshot. Think you can do a lot better :)

The closest window panes are a little dirty. Very nice hues and color pallet.

This doesn't work for me. It's dark, and what is lit enough to be seen isn't that appealing.

this would have been a great concept but the execution just doesnt hold my attention for too long. 5

there is just too much "going on" in this picture, it lacks the point of interest..

a lot to look at and probably overwhelms the eyes. The golden lighting is nice.

Glass is dirty, but otherwise interesting POV. If my vote counted, I'd give it a 5 ;)

Interesting idea but there are several things here competing for my attention, the bars in the front, the benches on the terrace, the rail on the terrace, the stairs on the other side, the windows on the other side, all fighting each other and offering a jumbled overall distracting shot. The lighting is also very unbalanced and the hot spot in the upper right middle is very distracting. It's pulling my attention more than anything else. Maybe if you came back from the window a bit and up, so you had just the bottom of the terrace rail with the stairs across the way? Also less time on the exposure so the lights in the stairwell don't cause such a hot spot? Sorry, as is, a 3

Much, much too busy. Not sure what to focus on.
