I approached this shot with an idea in mind, that like so many of my shots was just was not happening. So I had to do my best and make lemon aid. I must say that I learned a lot about light that day. I believe this picture worked best for me because of the very flat light on the church. Other photos with areas of light and shadow appeared very splotchy. I hate the piller ashtray out front but what are you going to do. I tried to move it but it was so darn heavy. Then I realized it was bolted in place. LOL.

This is dramatic. Know what you mean about those ashtray pillars... ;-)

I don't think you gain anything having the large area of emptiness in the foreground.

Cool but why did you take this in portrait and not landscape mode? The tiles donĀ“t really do anything for this image as far as I am concerned, would have liked to see more of the left part of the building instead and ergo the sky above that section. Still very nice though, love that sky and I gave this a 7.

Wonderful sky! This works well as a negative. I would like to see a little more detail in the brick walkway...perhaps a little longer exposure? Love the sky though!

What a great apocolypse kind of sky. Nice.

This really works as a negative, the sky is very daunting.
Nice job.

I don't know why, but this really appeals to me.....
I think it is the softness of the image.....
