Thank you everyone for your comments! I felt really bad taking this picture without asking and wanted to give him some change for been such a still photographic model. He was sleeping though and I didn't want to wake him up.

P.S: I try and write crediting and critic comments whenever I view other peoples photos and like to get the same response back. (e.g; Pidd's comment about been too dark) it's sometimes hard to do this given the amount of photographs in the competitions but it's the only way I focus on taking a better shots and become a better photographer. I try and do my best and give the same out to other people as well.

(Sorry about that. It's just something I had on my shoulders after a DP user got really upset because I said that you should try and think about the shot before taking it). "A photo that just looked like a quick snap shot and entered into the last contest".

Thanks for the comment.

No it was a can of beer. "His only friend", I walked straight passed this guy that morning, when I turned around I felt really sad but wanted to photograph him.

A superb shot, one instantly feels an emotion of compassion and wonders what this man has been through. Although, it's important to note what this guy thinks about having his photo taken, is he really that good looking ?

Like a Robert Frank photo. Good!

This would be so much better if you had shot it from the front, and shown some of the face. Pretty darn desolate.

at the beginin of this challenge, i had a similar idea of this.. after a few days, i realized that is a very clearly desolation.. but there is more desolation in this world than that.. lack of love, indifference, loneliness, .. i dont know what Im saying you this.. maybe it would be more interesting to see the "cause" of desolation, instead of the results.. i mean to show the history behind of this person, see her face, his history.. his shoes, how talks...
