It's interesting that this is an advanced editing challenge yet I did basic editing for my image. I have no shot and this is a last resort and I hope that everyone gets it. It's spring and so dawns new life. It's so cliche but I just found out that I have to enter for the MS Challenge as I just beat out Riggs ;) Great challenge Riggs!

Anyway, I'm not sure how this will do or how voters will see it. Let the scores slide! This might just be the end of my string of 6+ scores.

Shot in RAW and processed with RSE. Adjusted levels and curves. Cropped and stroke of 20 pixels for the border.

Again, I used Meera's 100mm f2.8 macro lens. Thanks Meera!

Post Challenge
It's interesting to note that this image started at a really low score. It's a love it or hate it when it comes to cliches. As i stated, this is not the type of image I would enter but I didn't have any other shot so I entered it. When we were up in seattle, I mentioned to Doc that my cliche image is scoring well. He said, well if it's a sharp well focused image then you should be just fine. He was right.

I like how the center of the flower looks like a funnel, black hole of sorts. With teeth. Hah! I know this wasn't really the intention, given that it's a "Something New" shot, but today I'm just looking at flower pics as flowers and not one bit how they fit the challenges if they were challenge entries. I very likely would have cropped the white out of the upper left corner to enhance this effect, probably a slightly tighter square in which the flower fills the entire frame. Nice crisp focus on the center. You also win brownie points for the Italian, cuz I'm a total sucker. Mi piace li foto! Buona notte, amico! ;-)
