 First flowers of the season. So sad that the Magnolias only bloom for about two weeks so I went out and shot tons of shots today. I was trying to show a flower that had opened with the still closed buds in the background to really illustrate the "new" subject. I hope it comes across that way.

this is a very nice flower photo(im a flower nut myself) Im curious why that one petal(center) doesnt look like it meets right 1/2 way down on the left side and why theres a straight line across the middle of the same petal. you dont list a lighten brush as one of your steps...would love to know what ya did to this.

I've seen a lot of plants and trees... Yes, they meet the challenge, but where is the creativity... It's the image that stands out from the rest that wins me over.
