So, I brought my dog's cage outside and put it on my patio. Then, I punched a hole with the stem of the rose through my $1.99 backdrop (oh no!) and put the backdrop on the cage and put the rose down through the wires so I could get a straight shot up and down. Took me a while to think of that, actually, I'm such a blonde. But it worked! Yay!


I hope this picture does well. Meaning above a 5.0. I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

Great lighting, effective border, and the twisting petals really suit the central composition. Deserved the placing. Agree with the comments about a larger depth of field to clarify the edges of the flower a tad more.

great perspective for a flower shot to really make it stand out above the rest of the flower/plants in this challenge. The only suggesstion i could make to use a slightly larger DoF because the top right petal seems slightly distorted, that usually happens to me when i shoot at widest aperature of my lense. Also your border looks great on your photo, well done. lol, i liked it more as tried to some up with things to comment on, 9
