Chose the title because I think it reflects the emotive and penetrating eyes of the model.
First time using the spot healing brush to clean up the skin. What an awesome tool. Besides that, some sharpening with masks and neat image.
Thanks to model. She did a great job and I wish her luck with her artistic plans.

Greeting from the Critique Club.

This is a well-made portrait overall. The lighting style is aaaaaaaaaaalmost Rembrandt-style lighting wich is very flattering. The only nits I see are: 1- the model's pose is a bit uninspiring, even the expression is bland and doesn't evoke emotion as really good portraits will do. 2- the hair dies into the bg, I would avoid this by either adding a hair light or reflector to brighten her hair, or crop a bit tighter to do away with the very dark areas.

It looks like you have a good handle on controlling your lighting (though it does have a yellow cast as mentioned below), with some careful practice on posing you'll have stunning portraits in no time. Keep up the good work.

skin tone is off (unless other wise desired that way) apears very yellow from tungston lighting and an impropper WB setting.

Love the catch lights, full frontal composure works well

Photography's about a lot of things, but a portrait's a portrait and the subject looks happy with this one. It's a pleasure to look at.

I like the look of uncertain-innocence on her countenance.

Good lighting, focus, and color. The eyes very plesant to look at. Perhaps some slight dodging of the whites would have given them a bit more focus. (or if you did this already, maybe a tad more). Overall, a very pleasing portrait. -7

I don't like the reflections in her eyes ... it just doesn't help this pic IMHO.
