 The leaves on this maple tree, just off my balcony, sprouted just this week!

Post-prod included:
a slight crop
brightness -5
contrast +20
saturation +20
Sharpen More, scaled back to 70%

It may look like the branch is sharper than the leaves, but it's not - the leaves simply have a shadow that gives them that amazing texture, while the branch does not. Another commenter thought the leaves were oversharpened, which is equally untrue - what you're interpreting as fringing is actually cilia around the leaves' edges, catching the light.

I like this one a lot, and it fits the challenge well. Great colors, good composition. I think it should've scored a little higher.

The right-most leaf looks oversharpened to me. Color are great.

I think this would be really pretty if you did a curves adjustment. It could deepen the sky color and make the leaves stand out more. The focus seems to be on the stem and not the leaves.

Leaves and plants are overdone in the challenge, but the lighting on this particular one is really cool.

I can't see the forest for the trees. I think a bit closer would have been better.
