Had a lot more fun with this image. Using Photoshop CS2 I played a bit with the shadow/highlights as I couldn't get very far with the contrast masking instructions (highlights did stuff, but I didn't have much luck with the shadow layer).
I then used a faint blue/transparent gradient over the sky, just to brighten up the dull weather we get in the UK!
