There's a fly at the end of the tunnel!

This is what the view looks like when looking through an 80-200 reversed at full wide with the S2 IS. The FOV has been cropped by about 8% off the edges to preserve a little more detail in the fly and has had more on the verticals sliced to make it square.

It was really wild setting this up because I was able to set focus and FOV just by looking into the lens. The 80-200 is quite simply an amazing peice of work!

It's more fun to use this than a prime lens IMHO because you can tune the magnification by zooming in and out. That plus the MF ring made it quite a joy to use!

This is after making an attempt with the 18-55 kit lens that didn't work out so well. I might try it again though having learned a lot from this experiment about how to make this setup work.

The subject is apparently a BlueBottle Fly. I may be wrong about this, so feel free to correct me.
