At the Old Dominion Hunt's Point to Point Races the last race of the day ended without the 14 horse. Fortunately both rider and horse got up quickly without apparent harm. The horse ran off leaving the jockey a long walk back to the paddock.

Wow! Great timing on your part!
This should have placed higher than 30th imo.

I honestly thought this would have done much better. The mere fact that you managed to capture this event was a bonus in my opinion. I truly did like this photo, and had it been just a tad crisper I would have scored it a 10.

Good job and keep up the good work.

Amazing and timely capture and one that would have made the local papers of only for the action. Bump.

IMHO I would have preferred to see the actual jump rather than the fall.

Ooh, I had to cringe as this was loading. That looks horrible. The focus is excellent, the action is amazing, I can almost feel the thud. The light is nice, not too harsh yet not so low that it obliterates details. The jockey's jodhpurs(?) have a bit of a hot spot on them but that fades into the pain of the image. I hope the horse and rider were okay after this. Good capture of a tough moment. 7

Excellent action photo. Surely not the Grand National?

I think this would be more impactful if you did a saturation of the colors. As it is, it seems kind of blanched out. The crop is a tad tight - I'd like to see more negative space around the subjects. The forus is clear and the stop action is good.
