This was a real fun shot to take. Me and a couple friends went to a park near my house and I brought my camera. I remembered the jump challenge so I asked Owen to jump off of one of the tables that were placed around the park. I angled the camera upward so that no treeline would be present. I snapped 4 pictures and then my camera ran out of batteries >:(

I uploaded them to the computer and this was the only one that "jumped" out at me ;)

Editing:

This will probably be very similar to alot of the jump pictures, so I'm not expecing a stellar score.

Thanks to Owen for jumping.

::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:

This is great .. shows true energy and zest!

Composition:
I like how you have cropped for the thirds ... if not cropped excellent shooting for composition. Background is hugely important and for this you have done well.

Subject:
More than meets the challenge.

Technical (Colour and light):
I always love natural light as the basis and then fiddling .. which it seems if what you have done. The picture looks like it may be slightly oversharpened (I think I saw artifacts around the hands and hair) ... but that is minor.

To grow its vote?:
Personally I think you did well .. no 1s or 2s ... but the need to create more immediate impact may be the issue .. I thought it was great and scored it accordingly ... but looking at those who scored around you ... you did do well.

Summary:

Lovely cool picture .. interactive and sold to me.

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.

Cheers

Kari

Beautiful picture young man. This is by far the best I have ever seen and if I could vote it would be a 10.
