While I understand that there is a lot of movement in the water and without a fast shutter speed, it might have been difficult to get a crisp focus, I do wish that there were a sharper focus somewhere in the photo. Even the trees are a little too soft for my personal taste. I think it represents the movie well, and I also think that the angle and framing/cropping are good. I like how you have put the people over to the right and left space to the left of the photo. Overall nice, just needs to be a bit crisper. ~Heather~

I loathe Meryll Streep! Still not a bad image.. Could probably have used more DOF as people are a little soft

Exposure is good. Composition is good. Quality seems off somehow. There are, what appears to be, artifacts around the ppl. Low end camera or bad software maybe? Too bad that it'll negatively affect the score since it really isn't your fault.

This is nice even without Brad Pitt :) I would prefer a little less background and a closer shot of the fishermen.

My voting criteria for this challenge are:

1. Did you capture a scene from the movie (as the challenge brief states) or did you enter a picture and fit a title to it.
2. How close a rendition is your image to the movie.
3. How does the image stand up in its own right.

In this case:

1. Yes, this scene will be familiar to people who have either seen the film or the advertising
2. This is obviously your own interpretation of the scene and actually quite true to the movie
3. The picture is very strong in its own right. The darker detail in the trees has been captured without losing the highlights in the river. On close inspection there appears to be some jpeg artifacts in the reflections but this doesn't distract greatly.

Overall a very good picture which both meets the challenge and stands up in its own right. 8

Well, I'm not sure what Movie this is, but you wont get a lower score from my 'cos of my ignorance :)

this is a good place to take a shot, the bend in the river makes a perfect background...

All I see is that it is maybe a bit to compressed, you know that images can be 150kb when submitted, that would have given you a lot more quality...

good luck in the challange

It was great how you caught the two boys. I liked how you had the older boy actively fishing while the younger one was almost observing and learning

Oh my gosh. I thought for sure I had chosen a movie other people wouldn't think of. Who would have guessed fly fishing was so popular. I like the composition and colors in this one.
