Great capture of the eye and nice cropping. The highlights are a bit blown out for me. I'd like to see a bit more detail in those areas.

I think I'd do some saturation work on the red tones, even if he didn't look any more red than the image shows. Great detail on the feathers. I like the DOF with the blurred fence behind him - it gives a bit of a story that way. Chickens crack me up.
