This is standing right outside my front door. I can't believe there is yet another big fire here. This one was started by three kids playing paintball. One of them had some smoke bombs and threw them to make a cover for himself. Being so dry the mountain just went up in flames. This was taken on the second day of the fire.

This is such a wonderful photo. The billowing smoke is so perfectly clear and sharp against the blue sky. Terrific composition. Too bad about the fire, but it sure made for a wonderful photo for you...nicely done.

Gotta love these fires in the midwest. There's one up on the lower part of Squaw Peak here in Utah County right now. Started mid afternoon yesterday, but it looks like they've mostly got it out.

Hurry, head for the mine shaft! Nice drama here. For me, the tilt adds to the drama, though it makes it less realistic. 8

This works well and is definately a good representation of the film. Nice depth in the colours and a well balanced shot. Good Luck, Todd. 9.

Wide angle lense distortion? Some people like it, some don't. I'm not overly fond of it. I think it makes the buildings look very odd, and seems to 'squish' everything together strangely. The 'scene' is nice. I love this movie. The houses from the movie weren't quite as 'high class', but this is still a perfect representation of the way the thing went up like a bomb. Focus and clarity are really good, and the angle on the smoke is good as well. Love how you 'stopped' the smoke. ~Heather~

Pretty cool... the house on the right looks vertical. Must be a really wide angle lens that caused it or something. Pretty interesting.

While I want to like this image the road line, horizon, and the house in the foreground give me a confusing horizon.. Just doesn't look quite right.. 5
