 Sand dollars are from the class of marine animals known as Echinoids, spiny skinned creatures. This is one that my sister brought back with her when she was in Ecuador. Taken on a rainy day...perfect lighting, no flash.

It's a beautiful picture, but I think that it's lacking some color, or better light, not sure.
