I think this is the best shot in your profile. I like the composition and use of color and the lighting is pretty good also. I think for the challenge though, it's not "abstract" enough. This image is still identifiable and for this particular challenge, abstracts are usually leave more to the imagination of the viewer.

I like the colors, and the set up is very different. I really think the only thing that really hurt you here was some noise issues, and the tilted angle the bauble is sitting on. Most people find symmatry pleasing (wich is, of course, reason to avoid it sometimes. :) ). Good shot, and not a shabby score over the half mark with almost 420 entries. Good job!

Greetings from the Critique Club

Welcome to DPC. Glad to see you jumping in and playing.

YOur image. First of all, I liked it. Good colors and a lively composition.

I am going to suggest a couple of changes to the composition though. (And please remember all this is just my opinion) First, you might consider using a colorful background, or white or black. The gray is just a little bland. Or you might consider cropping into the colored area removing the background all together.

Then, even though you know it is a macro shot, there isn't scale to give the voter a clue that it is indeed a tiny area. (I have difficulty learning this, myself) So some of our more technically minded voters probably worried about the DNMC aspect.

But, still it is a bright, vibrant image and one you should like a lot. I certainly do.

Keep up the good work, and I'll look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC.

Nice combination of colors and lighting. The different objects contrast well(metal, translucent glass and opaque decahedron).

D&D player? The colors are very bizarre and I like them.
