The bird capture is fantastic I agree. But this is advanced editing and I think the rest of the image could have benefited from a bit more saturation of the colors and a bit sharper bird.

Jacque, I love this photo! I'm going to pm you and give you a couple more thoughts, but I really think this is MUCH better than 4.534!!!!! You have a good eye for what makes a great picture! The pose of this bird is FANTASTIC!

Focus is more on the bird than the water. There's a lot of grain in the photo and the bird is not quite in focus.

If the water was in focus and the bird not would have fitted the challenge better

the digital noise in this is just too high and distracting...it looks like a crop of a much larger shot...pity because the composition would have been nice...sorry
