After a terrible photography slump due to many personal circumstances, my wife and I decided to go to Charleston, SC for our anniversary. I just purchased a new remote release and decided to give a go at night photography for the first time. This is the view of the bridge that was recently completed in Charleston as viewed from Waterfront park. I don't expect to ribbon, but I feel it's a strong image that should place well.

Editing was very minimal. Some level and hue adjustments, USM, cloned a few dust spots out and that's it!!!

Shot with my stinkin' kit lens... I gotta get better glass!!!

Fantastic shot!!!!!!!!! I live in the Charleston area (haven't been here a year yet) and have tried to get that shot, but it always ends up too noisy. I may "steal" your setting and see what I can come up with!

I like this shot much better than the fountain. The one big distracting element I notice is the bright light right in the dead center, I find my eye being pulled right to it. It would be really nice if you could've gotten a reflection of the bridge in the water.

The water in this shot is almost non-existant. The focus is definitely on the bridge. The water even looks like it could be asphault. A great shot, but could have done better at really bringing out the subject of water. -4-

I did a critique on a shot just like this one, offering some advice to make it better. If this is the same photographer, WOW! Much better! If not the same photographer, well done! An 8
