Inspired by Aaron's photo. I would have never thought to put a CD in the microwave. Image was cropped, sharpened and I did a bit of noise reduction. Lit by a side flash, there has been no altering of the colours, it's amazing what colours appear under the light.

This was my fave, as not only was it stunning, but a true abstract. What fooled me was the impression of ripples in liquid at the top of the frame. Great finish for a great shot :)

Nice work, Karen! The colors are amazing. You put this in the microwave?! Weird, but cool. Congratulations on the top 5!!

8 - Like this. Nice colors. Perhaps a variation in cropping/framing, depending what you had to work with of course (and what you were aiming for - which may well be exactly this), may have made this even better in my opinion.

Thank goodness we can't vote from thumbnails - Your shot got my attention but I was going to say the addition of say blue or magenta would enhance the look, however now I see it in a larger size I like it as it is. It's got my vote.
