The amount of DOF you used here is appropropriate but a slight shift backwards may work better to get less of the foreground and more of the bug in focus.

Good contrast with the pruple flowers and green foliage.

Try not to have so much shallow DOF. I would like to see all the bug. I like the angle of your shot.5

He is really the ruler of his land, isn't he? OMG. I can hardly view this image. - It looks like it is coming at me! LOL

the perspective it awesome.. the dof perfect. the lighting... how did you get the lighting so that the shiny parts of him would not glint? Was it an overcast day? I have such a hard time with that.

Bravo! This should rank very high!

Yikes! Okay, I never want to see that again! They're scary enough from far away. This looks like something out of the latest Star Wars. Great contrast with the flowers. I maybe would have cropped the top off a little more.
