Greetings from the Critique Club!

Your photo is a well done tribute to the original, and an excellent photograph in its own right. Regarding the features of your image specifically: overall, composition is wonderful, with the subject slightly off centre and weighted toward the bottom of the picture in a pleasing way. Bokeh is perfect, and, needless to say, the colour is spectacular, truly one of the most pleasing elements. I like your version's slight emphasis on the bulb's threads, which add interest, the highlights nicely offsetting the splash of colours behind.

I understand it's almost unavoidable at this exposure, but grain is noticeable in the colour background, which, for such an abstract composition, would not have suffered from aggressive noise reduction in NeatImage or similar. However, it could be said that the grain enhances the effect. There is lens debris or dust on the lightbulb (on the orange portion) that should have been cloned out.

Minor points all, and your photo is not diminished by them. A lovely image. Congrats!

I hope this has helped,
Louis

I really like the colors in this one and the focus is great. But the lightbulb kind of gets lost in the background. Great job though.
