Well, no. I didn't do a remake of Scalvert's witch-under-the-house, but I did have another interpretation of that. However, I didn't have the funds for the props. So, I went with this one.

My husband had a zippo. So as soon as I saw this image, I loved it. It had long exposure, which I love to do, and I love the sparks effect. So off I went with his Zippo to the living room and used the same camera settings as did the winner "Joebar" of this challenge in 2003, other than the ISO. Mine was 200 rather than 100.

Wish I had thought of it first! My Kudo's to the winner of the 2003 image! I hope I did them proud.

Thanks Shutterpug. It is so ironic how many comments I have gotten from you lately. I am glad you are paying such close attention to my entries. Hmm, a good amount of 5's, 6's, 7's, 8's, 9's, and even a few 10's. Guess it wasn't all that painful to some. :)

Very poor focus on the lighter. The USM that has been applied makes the body of the lighter painful to look at.

Nice capture on the flame, but the focus on the lighter could be beter.

Nicely done. Just a little sharper focus on the lighter would have made it great.
