Probably a mistake. Last minute entry. It's a rose from my mother's beautiful rose garden. But you had probably figured that out.

Not much processing. Mostly just the border.

A beautifully composed image. Technically good.

Most viewers should like this one a lot even though flowers are overused at this site.

-1 point for the unnecessary drop-shadow. Shame, as it's a very nice emotive shot... nicely lit. 7

Beautiful shot, the softness and the pink color, along with the water drops give this image a refreshing feel to it. I like what you have done here very much.

This is a very well done rose. I've seen a lot of rose photos, but I think this is the best of them. Great detail and wonderful color. Stunning!

....and a lovely one at that!

Composition: Good centralisation of the middle of the rose supported by the sharpness of the leaf to the left.
Technical: Nice DOF and colour. Really don't like the border - you will very rarely get higher scores for adding a shaded border - best to stick with simple ones.
Meets challenge: Yes
Overall impression: The subject is unfortunately a little imperfect, making an otherwise fairly flawless photo look a little poorer.
