Kari from the critique club. I am Doing this from work Larry so please forgive the lack of my normal template.
First impression:
Interesting pic ... makes me want more of the flower and less of the background.
Composition
I feel there are issues with this is not too bad .. you have hit thirds with both flowers ... but it is the huge gap that just doesn't sit quite right.
Technical
This is a grainy picture ... I am not sure why, it sounds as if it was well lit .. but I think the ISO setting is too low for the level of light you had. Maybe adjusting this may have helped (this is a guess and an area I am still learning too). Some of your pixels appear to be very significant .. this happens in a number of different ways including when you blow up the size of a picture, or even zoom in so much that you can see every little one.
Subject:
Meets the challenge - you did say it was 2 second shutter speed :)
Moving onwards and upwards:
Not your highest scoring ... but it was I am sure an adventuresome shot. Well done on the effort and again I always look forward to seeing more of your work.
Any questions on the critique drop me a PM
Cheers
Kari

They look so lonely in the dark! Bumping up. |

I'm not sure what happened, but the picture is very pixellated. Also, the composition is lacking. |

I guess I'm not the only one to tell you to use less compression. the otherwise promising looking picture is incredibly pixelated - or was that intentional?!
better luck next time |

Those are the biggest chunks of pixel I have ever seen. Did you enlarge this a whole bunch? |

This has very visible pixelation. |

Border takes away i think, and the focus / exposure is a bit off. It seems pixelated to me. |

this is way to low res. even for the web it displays all chunky and pixelated. |

I don't get any sense of 2-seconds from this. |

You got some seriously bad artefacts in the shot and I see it´s only 11kb, try to make use of the full 150kb you are allowed next time and your score will go way up, the quality of this image is horrible as it is, sorry. |

This shot is over processed. Not sure what to suggest to fix it. Sorry. |

Hmmmm.. not sure what happened here, but there are tons of jpeg artifacts and you can barely see any detail of the image. |

this is a great shot, but I a not sure it is demonstrating the sprit of the 2 second challenge...while it may have been a 2 second exposure, it might as well have been a 1/200 exposure if you know what I mean |

The low key lighting has potential, but it's heavily compressed so there's a lot of JPEG artifacts going on. Maybe make use of the full 150kb limit next time so you can present the picture as well as possible? |
