		Thanks for the great comments and votes. I would have liked to get closer, but this is an almost 1 to 1 crop. The picture was taken by turning my teleconverter backwards (thanks for the idea Jillz!), taping the feather to one end and taking a picture through the other, using the 60w bulb as a backlight. 
 
 So... No I can't get much closer and the DOF issues were totally out of my control - (my f-stop was at 8.0, the max for my camera.)

		Composition: Interesting composition.  I think I may have tried rotating it 45 degrees CW, but it looks fine as is.
 Technical: Nice focus, apart from far-right.  It looks a little oversharpened?  Nice colour and lighting.
 Meets challenge: Yes
 Overall impression: I think I'd have liked to see this in the Contrasts challenge.  Seems a little 'flat' for this challenge.
