I really like where this takes me. An invitation to sit by the fire and ruminate, sleep, imbibe, read, ponder or converse. Great atmosphere in this shot. Got a ten from me.
Nice photo and a great concept. It is a pity that this photo is not as sharp as it could be. The books on the bookshelf are not even close to being in focus. What is the modern electrical device in the top right hand corner? There are a lot of technical problems with this shot eg lighting and unwanted highlights. In particular the ashtray(?) in the sidetable and the back of the man's cap.
This is really an exceptional shot. Great job with the lighting. It invokes the proper mood.
Now I'm not positive on this, but that gentleman appears to look a lot like alfresco, who is visiting the east coast. So, a pure speculation, I am led to believe this is Laurie's. Just a guess.
I really do like this a lot and hope to see it ribbon. (10)
