 I took this with the in-camera black and white settings and used the red filter option to bring the contrast and the pattern out in the tie. In PS, all I did was autocontrast and a little bit of USM.

Excellent use of B&W Tonal range, details in the shadow, texture in the highlights. Interesting subject interpretation.

... and it is just getting started... nothing sexier than a well dressed man... except, well - anyway - this is a nice shot. Good use of angles nice reptilian draping of the tie and no distractions from the subject. Back and white heightens the subjects importance and the lighting shows off the natural wear of the shoes. Good job!
