The store and the location work togather in this image. It's good that you didn't crop out the background when you were shooting it, as it adds a lot of information to the image about the subject. It's also nice that they didn't burn it to make more room in the field behind it. The boarded up windows detract a little from the image which is not something you could do anything about. The title seems a bit long, but it describes the location as coastal so it helps place the scene. You have many excellent images in your portfolio. It was not easy to choose which to comment on.
This is a great image of what once was. I like the way you framed this on the left side. I also thing it would be an excellent candidate for a high contrast black and white.
Uhm.... WOW! I love this image. Great composition and perspective. I particularly like the stark contrast between the green grass and the snow on the hills.
