One of the homeless cats that lives in my neighborhood. I was trying a method of metering where you spot meter to the lightest part and use exposure comp +1-1/3. Makes the photo look pretty bad out of camera but if you darken it it looks nice, at least with light subjects.

Processing: increased contrast, darkened a little, unsharp mask, hue/saturation, match color, spot edit some specks on the cat's face.

A tighter crop would probably have made this more interesting. I like the background because the colors and "short lines" feeling matches the coloring of the cat, but as others have noted, the background is a bit overpowering.

Cute kitty with pretty eyes. The background isn't especially appealing, and the angle and lighting detract from the shot, IMHO.

snap shot, tight crop on the cat, or even the cat's face would have made this image work, as is, it sucks

Beautifully exposed white on cat. Love the soft pick nose and green eyes.

Nice pussy! Try changing your perspective, sometimes you do need to get down on your knees! All imho obviously. Good luck!

Really cute kitty but this just has a snapshot sense to it. It doesn't appear to have alot of artful forethought. I'd love to see you on his level looking right at him, instead of peering down.

IMO, there is a little to much open space around the cat. maybe zoom in a little closer. nice cat though.

the thing that gives this shot a hard time is the background, it's so messy and distracting, even overpowering for the little pussy cat
