 Trying to get some mileage out of the ol' wooden ribbon. Set shutter to bulb in a dark room, held shutter open while I traced the ribbon with a laser pen. Shifted red to blue adj levels rotate, crop & resize.

I had the exact same idea and couldn't make it work. How'd you do it? Cardboard template with the light shone trough cut-outs from behind?
