 I've always liked the apple ipod ads that have the girl all in black with the brilliant white ipod pluged into her ears. So figured that I'd try and redo this ad. Had my girlfriend stand behind a white sheet and with fine thread suspended one of her friends ipods that we borrowed (yeh I don't own one myself!) infront of the sheet. Took a 15sec exposure, first setting off a flash then running around the sheet and painting the ipod with a flashlight (being very carefull not to paint the sheet as well) Took WAY too many tries to get this shot. I would have like the ipod to be more lit up making it stand out more, but my girlfriend wasn't willing to pose for much longer than the 4 hours it took to get that shot.

hmm looks like many voters thought I didn't meet the challenge with all those one's two's and three's .... it's too bad because the ipod was painted with a flashlight and it was the main subject of my shot ... gotta keep saying to myself over and over to keep shooting shots that are easily apparent that they meet the challenge!

I'm sorry, I try to be really liberal with challenge descriptions, but I see absolutely no connection to "painting with light" here. Sorry; maybe I'm just a narrow minded fool, but I can't see it.

Nice picture, but I'm not sure it fits the challenge.

Not really seeing the painting with light here, and imo, not incredibly unique. A nicely taken photograph however.
