It's a bit abstract, I'd love to see more clearly what's going on down in that glass/bowl. Looks a bit like an egg yolk from this angle! But it makes an interesting shot, and meets the challenge.

This almost looks like an egg, or at least the yolk of one. Seems a bit fuzzy to me.

You know, I expected a plethora of oil-and-water shots, and as far as I can see this is the only one. I think it's quite beautiful, frankly, but I suspect voter reactions will be mixed.

Definitely an odd couple, but sadly the image is too indistinct and lacks interest. Perhaps a better interpretation might have been just a bottle of water and a bottle of oil?

I can understand why you decided to blur the water and oil, but would have liked to see the "in-focus" version :)
