You will note that I have a very soft spot for animals and birds. This simple silhouette is working because of feeling of flow in the background water. Lovely representation, lovely o the eye.

This is a very good capture - love the reflections in the water with the silhouette of such a unique bird. The shadow is a bonus. Composition is good - barring the exclusion of the whole shadow.

I really like this one. I would agree with one of the other comments that seeing the whole shadow could be nice - or cropping it right on out leaving the shot just the bird and water with no sand. I am still learning composition and framing myself so I am no expert, but I like this shot alot. Good capture.

You know what? This would look great as a duotone in yellows and reds. May I try it out? Great silhouette.
