I'm probably risking a lot of "DNMC" but hey, it's my comfort after a long day's work. Only one glass of course.
Lee Forst has a description of how to do this kind of picture in his book "Photos that sell". I thought I'd have a go myself.
Setup :
-20"cinema display with white screen as background
-black cardboard leaving only two vertical strips of light left and right
-black foamcore under the glass
-2 stops underexposed

Edits : rotate, crop, levels, risize, save-for-web.

Oh, by the way it's diluted coffee.

Everything is so evenly balanced it almost looks like you cloned and reversed half the pic... Very cool :)
