 Watched my Dad repair peoples watches as a child... Still get the comfort in watching him at age 87, still doing this.. Has a steady hand as he always had..

Hope the contest accepts this one.. Just crop and lightened just a little, and also small contrast.. That is it..

Theme is stretched (better since you explained in messdage), but I like the idea of comfort from your father. Still, the composition of the picture leaves a lot to be desired. I voted you a 2 before understanding your picture, and have since changed it to 3, particularly because of poor quality.

Too bright, noisy. Maybe taken more over his shoulder to show better what he's working on, would also angle the flash so it didn't bounce straight back?
