One of the few where a color besides black seems to work for the base color. Good job and good luck.

Photography at its best. One of the best pictures I've seen and not just on DPC.

this is duotones but I'm not sure the color selection works for the photograph.

I don't vote on contests I've entered, but I wish to express my congratulations and condolences for being another outside-the-box thinker and using two colors for your duotone. Very nice and effective. I'm giving you a 10, but alas it won't stick.

This is bizarre coloring, but it's working for me. I only wish the ship and the bird weren't in alignment, that the bird were a bit to the left and the ship way more to the right, to produce an implied diagonal. Still, you get what you can getm when you can get it :-) One of my high scores.

Great exploration on the color use!

This is a great shot. I'll stay out of the current 'duotone' argument because I don't fully understand it. (I entered a sepia photo.) I like the softness of the water. The one thing I would like to see is how this would have looked if the ship wasn't directly above the bird.

What a great capture! I like your choice of duotone also. I hope this places well for you.

Very nice tones. I love the smooth lines created on this one. Well done. The only thing is that you might have wanted to separate the bird from the ship on the horizon. By placing them in the same line, I think the photo suffered a bit compositionally.

So how many fish did you have to pay the gull to model for you? :)

I really like the duotones you chose. Nice to see something other than black and white. I also like the simplicity of your composition. Good luck in the challenge. (The first 10 I've given out)

I like this image a lot. Great idea, fabulous composition, and processed perfectly ... all except for the yellow, which I'm afraid I really dislike. It just about overwhelms the many beautiful and subtle qualities of the photograph. Like a lovely woman wearing awful, strident makeup. But that aside, it's terrific. 7.

Sort of complementary tones. I love the loan bird, but could do withou that ship in the background. It is so simple and smooth with just the bird.

AAAAAAH, just amazing. Imagine the ship being in the right part of the photo it would be fantastic. But the photo is excellent anyway. Congrats on the good capture and colors.

Doesn't this represent a tritone?
