Model: Nadine Weber. When I read the challenge topic I thought of her right away, her style is really cool. I want to thank her for getting up that early in the morning :)
I tried to reflect the way she does her own thing with the shallow DOF. I had some focusing problems with the 50mm, but I preferred this slightly OOF picture to others because of the pose.

This is the first time I do this kind of photography, constructive comments are most welcome.

Maybe it's just me, but between the darkness of the inside of the coat, the darkness of the shirt and the darkness of the pants, the actual clothing is almost hard to make out. I have to look really close and carefully to get any detail in the clothing itself. For this challenge, I think it would be good to have the clothing really clear in the photo. not sure if maybe a little front lighting would have helped this, or not, but maybe something to try.
I like the style, definately different, and definately fits the challenge of fashion.
Focus to me seems good. You mentioned softness, and if it is soft, it must work well, because it doesn't seem to affect the photo negatively at all.
Put me in the group that likes the angle you chose for this photo. I think it adds something to the photo and puts some personality on it.
The background is nicely blurred, but unfortunately the person in the background isn't obscured enough to not become a distraction. Wish there were some way you could have left that guy out. Otherwise though, the background is great. Nice compliment to the subject.
Overall nice for the challenge, and no major complaints.

Great expression, rich color, and I love the line of the arm going up to the hat. Fun outfit. 8

Cute model and fun fashion. It could look a bit richer in terms of texture and color.

Nice picture, puts the focus right on her and not on the background. Her outfit rocks!

Shoes or boots? Like use of depth of field and setting but image not complete.

Had you waited a second or two more and shot this without the people in the background, this would have scored much higher with me. Love the concept, love the rich colors, and I love her 'attitude'. Not too sure about the tilt, but since I can see that it was intentional, I'll not mark it down simply because it doesn't really appeal to me. The onlookers in the background, though, are a major distraction.

This is one of my top voted photos. The background works very well here and the dof is a nice touch rather than a plain background. This is a shot that could have been taken by any pro photographer of fashion and placed on any magazine cover. I love the outfit, and if I could, this is just what I would wear *smile*. I'm not thrilled with the hair. I think it could have been done better and more befitting to the outfit, but I like she is tipping the hat with her fingers and the other hand in the pocket. Attention to detail was well done by the director and/or model in that regard. The slight tilt in the photo is usually something I don't like, but it works very well here. Face/makeup of the model is clean and has a pleasing expression, but one with a bit more confidence showing through would have been better. However, all in all a very well done photo.
