This is an Aermotor Windmill. Aermotor got their start in 1888. Sorry this isn't leg warmers, walkmans, and roller blades.

This was cropped a little and converted to sepia. I adjusted saturation and color temp a little. I wish I knew how to do advanced editing, but since I don't, this is the best I can do.

I almost let this one pass because it made me think of art from early REM albums but by the title that clearly wasn't the intent. It's a cool photo but I voted kind of low because of the DNMC element. It was pretty clear from the challenge description that it was the 1980's. :D

Nice colour but I think most people will be looking for photos from the 1980's.

Sneaky.. heh. I like the different take with the choice of using a different century. The coloring is nice, helps extend the feeling of antique/old. I wish the lighting were a bit better on the windmill thingie because it looks like its trying to be a silhouette but there's just enough light that details can be seen just faintly and that makes me wish it were lit completely. So, for me, it'd be better if it was a complete silhouette or the details were absolutely visible. I gave a 5

I know the instructions didn't say what century of 80s but come on!!! Wasn't it clear? This is a great pic but does not meet the challenge.

Had to look at/read this one a few times until I got it... creative take on the challenge and an interesting shot. The words seem a bit dark on the windmill... perhaps some adjustments to the levels or brightness might bring them out a bit more?

I wonder if people will recognise this photo shoot from the previous challenge. (I hope I'm right in that comment :) ). In terms of the photo I like it, nice duotone and the clouds look great

Points for thinking outside of the box however the rules clearly implied the latest 80's decade.

Can you believe there was more than one person who thought of this OOTB concept? Nice shot. 8

Good thought but the challenge description specifically refers to the 1980's and a "radical decade", not the 1880's, 80 degrees, or 80 year olds, which I haven't seen any pictures of so far. Per the site rules I will still vote as if it fits though: Sharp picture and good use of tones. -7
