 Notice the yellow box at the bottom right? Yeah that would be one of the Insane Surf Fotogs that were out for the Monster Pipe Pro contest.
To watch these guys work is amazing they put themselves right in the path of the surfers (and their sharp hard boards) as well as positioning themselves in the most dangerous part of the wave as it folds down upon itself and the water violently churns.
Then to get the perfect shot if the other stuff wasnt enough, they get to deal with the motion of the ocean.
From what I understand the most they will see from one of their pic's is a couple of thousand dollars.. for risking life n limb.

Little bit of passion for the art and extreme personalities i'd say but again ... Complete respect and awe from me... specially the pipeline fotogs thats pure insanity with the large swells and shallow reef.
