This is an impressionistic look at the transition between winter and fall. It's a photograph, selectively desaturated, and then given a painterly effect using Buzz Simplifier.

Note: It's possible it's crooked, but it's also possible it's an illusion--the bridge was built "crooked"--on purpose I believe. (The original version of this shot, before I decided to desaturate it, was called "The crooked bridge")

I love this. colours are great and the leading lines are super. The wonkiness of the bridge is disconcerting, but otherwise really lovely.

The leaning rails in the front was the first thing that caught my eye. Although it looks more like perspective distortion rather than camera lean.

I get the feeling that the top of the trees is cropped off just a bit too much. I would have liked to see a little more there.

Over all, I love the shot. I like the boardwalk and how it leads you right down the middle of the shot and into the colors of the tree. A few nits, but very well executed.

I agree with Bear about the tilt...LOVE the contrast in color between the bridge/water and the trees!!!

Neal, this shot feels tilted to me. The railing posts on both sides are leaning right. It looks like you've leveled the imaginary "horizon" at the expense of the foreground verticals. I'd try squaring up the verticals if it were mine. In any case, as a transition it seems more "manmade to natural" than "fall to winter" to me.
