 The shot was taken late in the afternoon after being at the beach all day. I was stting on the grassie slope eating fish and chips when this bied just flew up to me looking like he had a message for me. The mesage was give us a chip will you.

This photo was taken at the Indiana tea room near Perth one afternoon. This great bird just flew up to me as if he knew me and wanted to give me a message, or he might of been after the chips I was eating. I am using the canon 17-85 image stabliser lens, I/200 exposure, 80 iso, f 3.5 and no flash. Taken on the 18/9/05.

What a wonderful curious turn of the head expression. This has encapsulated a whole story with the people and building in the background. The detail of the rock and the bird - wow. What a terrific capture!
