I really love the sunset colors of this. . .and well. ..I like the strong message of the photo too. Maybe there's one in the virtues challenge about the free gift of life :) Great job David. I really like this one alot!!

Thank you.
The sky was all levels.
As I commented, it was a grey, misty, cold day in San Antonio. When I took the picture the birds came out as silhouttes. I wasn't taking the picture for the challenge but was trying to take pictures of the vultures per the wildlife challenge. But the dang birds wouldn't let me get close enough ;-).
When I was playing around with the pictures on my computer, the symbolism occurred to me with this challenge and I remembered this particular Bible verse so I started playing around with the images to see if I could get something I liked. That is when I discovered how setting the color tempurature on a raw image can affect the color!
I kept tweaking it till I could get to the red sky... I like the picture and I don't take any offense to the 51 low votes.

Nice idea...I like the dreamy feel that your shot has, and there are some utterly technical issues that are present, but not overpowering in my opinion. Good luck. |

Thankfully your title defines your picture. If the title were not there i would have been lost. Surely i know see the death in symbolism. 6 |
